Since 1991, Fayette County school children have raised thousands of dollars each year to support children their own age who have been the victims of abuse, neglect or other tragic circumstances.  The Fayette Youth Power Parade is a walk-a-thon held during PE classes in all 17 Fayette County elementary schools.  Children seek donations from family, friends, and neighbors who sponsor their participation in the event.
